I had to turn off the news this morning. It’s just bad news and negative things one after the other. And then I have other things that are heavy on my mind. But as I was having my quiet time later in the morning, I was led to John 16:33.
(Jesus said) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!”
No matter what happens….Jesus has overcome the world! He is in control!!
Thanks for your encouraging words this morning! I think the best way to describe my emotions at this time is “numb.” We don’t need to be numb, but replace our grief with joy in the fact that Jesus has overcome the world.
